Foundation Cup

What is the Foundation Cup? - The Sydney Roosters, Balmain and Western Suburbs were among the NSW Rugby League’s foundation clubs in 1908 and the Foundation Cup is a celebration of Rugby League history and welcoming the new season as the clubs chase the first piece of silverware on offer in the year.

The Foundation Cup enters it's second year on the rugby league calendar and will see fellow foundation clubs Wests Tigers (Western Suburbs and Balmain) and Sydney Roosters fight it out for the annual Foundation Cup.

Wests Tigers was formed in 2000 by the merger of foundation clubs Balmain Tigers and Western Suburb Magpies.
