Minor Premiers
The minor premiership is awarded to the team with the most competition points at the end of the regular season. In the event of equal competition points, the best team with the best points for/against ratio will be awarded minor premiers. In 1954, Rugby League commenced the mandatory playing of a Grand Final at season end to determine the premiership so the stats below are from 1954 onwards.

The J.J. Giltinan Shield is now awarded to the National Rugby League minor premier. Previously, the Shield was awarded to the winner of the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) Grand Final. In addition to the Shield, premiership winning teams received the W.D. & H.O. Wills Cup from 1960-1981, and the Winfield Cup from 1982-1995.
